The West Virginia College College Senate issued a vote of no confidence in President Gordon Gee on Wednesday.
The vote handed, with 797 votes of no confidence and 100 votes towards the movement.
The group additionally voted on a decision to freeze the college’s Tutorial Transformation plans. That vote handed 747 to 79.
The transformation — aimed toward lowering prices by $45 million — has resulted within the proposed discontinuance of dozens of packages and majors on the college, in addition to reductions in college. It has been met with opposition from college, college students and alumni.
