Elizabeth “Betty” Mary Taylor, 97, of Morgantown, departed this life surrounded by her loving household on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023.
She was born April 2, 1926, in Philadelphia, Pa., a daughter of the late Paul and Ann Fiedler.

She was a loving spouse and mom and devoted her life to being a homemaker and gardener, elevating flowers and rising and canning greens. She was a member of the Goshen Baptist Church.

She is survived by her 4 daughters, Rosemarie Jacobs, Joanne Taylor, Jeanette Koontz (Robert “Bo” Cummings) and Yvonne Taylor (Joe Thornton); grandchildren, Jay N. Jacobs, Bryce A. McCord (Bobbie Jo), Brianne E. McCord, Stephanie Koontz (Jeramiah Menear); and great-grandchildren, James Marple and Allison McCord.

Along with her mother and father, she can be preceded in loss of life by her husband, Harry Clinton Taylor; and siblings, Paul Fiedler, Marie Ansert and Invoice Fiedler; and son-in-law, Herbert Jacobs.

The household wish to specific their appreciation and gratitude to the caregivers and employees of Sundale Nursing Residence and WVU Drugs Hospice for his or her care and compassion.

A personal household graveside service will probably be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Hastings Funeral Residence has been entrusted with preparations.
